Chelsea team captain John Terry is reportedly being pursued by Chinese and Turkish football clubs amidst the Blues' current lackluster performance in which they should be on top and defending the Premier League crown they won last season.

The 34-year-old Premier League legend is evidently no longer Jose Mourinho's first choice at center back as younger players like César Azpilicueta, Kurt Zouma, and Baba Rahman have emerged from the Pensioners' backfield ranks while he was chronically sidelined by injuries as well, as per the Daily Mirror.

Right now, even if the 18-year Chelsea veteran is healthy and injury-free, Mourinho still preferred to keep him on the bench for undisclosed reasons.

Recent reports have also said that while he is slowly being neglected at Stamford Bridge, several teams from China have expressed interest in acquiring him once his current contract with Chelsea expires at the end of the season.

However, Terry's top suitor was said to be Turkish club Fenerbahçe SK, who was also responsible for taking away Dutch striker Robin van Persie from Manchester United earlier this year.

Caught Offside speculated that while Terry played "every single minute" of the Blues' title run last season, he was not utilized this time perhaps to act as "scapegoat for the poor form" displayed by the Fulham squad.

It was also noted that while Mourinho preferred a more youthful central defensive pairing, it still did not prevent them from losing to Crystal Palace and settling for a draw against lowly Newcastle United last Saturday.

There are still no confirmations whether Terry would accept the offers from the Chinese and Turkish teams as of the moment although rumors of his potential departure have been getting louder and louder as the weeks pass.
