Apple Music offered a three-month free trial until Sept. 30 for users who signed up when it was launched in June. The biggest question for users now is whether the $10 monthly subscription is worth it.
The tech community is divided when it comes to whether the monthly subscription fee of Apple Music is worth it. According to Engadget, users who will sign up for the $10 monthly subscription program will retain their access to over 30 million music tracks in Apple Music's library.
On the other hand, many are arguing that why should they pay for something that they can get for free especially with the market overflowing with several music apps that offers free service, the biggest and probably Apple Music's arch-rival Spotify.
While Apple Music does have a big music library, the same can be said for Spotify and Google Music. The good thing is that the last two services are for free. While many agree with the cost of Apple Music's monthly subscription fee, some are still skeptical citing many free services as an alternative.
Tech analysts are warning users who signed up to the free three month Apple Music trial to make sure that they switch off their subscription since the service will auto-renew and starts charging users once the free period is over.
According to Tech Crunch, users can cancel their Apple Music subscription through their iPhone or through iTunes. To do this, users need to open the Apple Music app on iOS and open View Apple ID located on the Account tab. From there, they can scroll down to the Subscription header and Tap Manage where they will find the toggle to cancel auto renewal. The same method can be used in cancelling the subscription via iTunes.
