The Markieff Morris saga seems to have died down, but some teams believe it's the calm before the storm.

While it is enough to stifle trade rumors for now, it seems hard to believe that from Morris' strong statements early in the summer, he would instantly have a 180 degree turn.

Sir Charles in Charge suspects as much. While they give the benefit of the doubt that it might be genuine and that Keef really had a change of heart, the other option is also possible.

"It could mean that management has told him behind closed doors that they plan on dealing him at some point this season as long as he plays nice in order to prevent his trade value from plummeting even more than it already has."

Thus, they lead to the possibility that Keef could still be traded. The Detroit Free Press, on the other hand, also has their own agenda for the year.

In a chat with Vince Ellis, writer for Detroit Free Press, he was asked about his predictions for the team this season. Part of his response has a possible trade.

"I will guess Brandon Jennings is traded. For who? No way even guessing that, although I gather the Pistons are monitoring the Markieff Morris situation in Phoenix. There is interest there."

It makes sense because Marcus Morris is with the Pistons and there's no denying that the twins played their best basketball together. Some might call it weird, or childish but it is what it is.

However, if the Suns are playing the wait and bid game, they obviously don't want to get lowballed. Ellis mentioned in a response to another question:

"I mentioned the Pistons interest in the other Morris twin earlier in the chat. They would definitely be interested in acquiring, but the Suns aren't interested currently and the asking price is high. Hearing a starter and a first to even get the Suns to listen."

The Suns need to sell Keef early in the season for teams to even consider that. But Jennings could be a piece to start with. Coach Jeff Hornacek has not been averse to playing two point guards in Phoenix's fast offense.
