Ian Somerhalder is reportedly regretting his decision to marry Nikki Reed. The couple may look perfectly happy in photos but insiders claim that the two are actually in the brink of getting a divorce.
According to OK! magazine, "The Vampire Diaries" actor has long wanted to start a family and have kids. When they got married early this year, Somerhalder told Reed that he could not wait to be a father.
At that time, the "Twilight" star was enthusiastic about being a mom but as months passed by, she allegedly started making excuses of why it was too soon for them to have a baby. Insiders revealed that Reed was worried that her career will be over if she gets pregnant.
Multiple reports suggest that this was also the reason why Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev broke up years ago. The actor allegedly was pressuring his then girlfriend to settle down. Dobrev, however, was at the peak of her career and did not want to risk her chances. The two eventually called it quits.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Somerhalder was regretting her decision to marry Reed. The actor was reportedly thinking that he should have married someone closer to his age, one who is ready to settle down and ready to put her career in the backseat.
Some of the couple's closest friends were wondering if the two even discussed this very serious issue before tying the knot. It seems like Somerhalder and Reed had different outlooks when it comes to having children, which could eventually ruin their marriage.
