Rihanna unveiled details about her new album titled "ANTI" on Oct. 7, Wednesday, at the Mama Gallery in Los Angeles. The album cover art was courtesy of an Israeli painter, Roy Nachum.
The artwork shows the singer's childhood image posing with a golden crown that covered her eyes. While the painting also showed Rihanna carrying a black balloon, a poem written by Chloe Mitchell spread across the red and white canvas in Braille.
According to Urban Islandz, the baby Rihanna in the painting depicted her first day at the pre-school, while the back cover showed the art with her same childhood image covering her back. Meanwhile, Rihanna admits that this album cover belongs to her most loved covers that she had ever done.
The poem in Braille and the crown covering little Rihanna's eyes depict a strong message on vision and vision impairment, which is evidently the theme of all Nachum's album arts, Billboard reported.
The "Bajan" singer made a grand entry into the MAMA Gallery flaunting a gothic black gown followed by the DJ playing a number by Tyga. The gallery was brimming with fans and reporters who were waiting for the unveiling of the album art and its name.
In the meanwhile, Rihanna tweeted the real meaning of her new album "ANTI" which is "A person opposed to a particular policy, activity, or idea." For those who were waiting for a release date, or the kickoff of any new music, she did not reveal much about the album except the cover and the name.
Rihanna's new album "ANTI" is expected to hit the market sometime in the fall.
