"19 Kids and Counting" alum Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are currently under fire for allegedly lying about their mission in an undisclosed location.
According to Inquisitr, it was recently discovered that the young couple does not have the necessary credentials to become missionaries.
After Dillard quit his job at Walmart, he filed papers to start a non-profit organization. Since then, they have been soliciting money from kind-hearted individuals for their mission.
According to Design N Trend, the couple was rejected as missionaries by the Southern Baptist Convention because they do not have the necessary qualifications. This suggests that the money they are soliciting from supporters is not being used for the right causes.
Dillard recently posted a message addressed to the Cross Baptist Church via his Instagram which led donors to believe that what they are doing is legit. However, it was recently discovered that they do not have any connection with them.
With this, fans are demanding the couple to give them a refund of their generous donations as soon as possible.
We are grateful for the support of our church fellowship Cross Church as we were officially commissioned during the morning service today," Dillard wrote along a photo of their family.
Dillard later on clarified on his family's official website that he simply meant that church commissioned them through prayers.
This has led fans to worry that the money they donated to the family is being used to fund their recent travels in and out of the United States.
