The budget for Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's forthcoming Marvel Comics film "Avengers: Infinity War" is going to be huge.
Comic book film sources told Bleeding Cool that the Russos' upcoming two-part superhero films were set to have a total production budget of one billion dollars. The publication also said that from the one billion budget, four hundred million dollars would go to the Russos, the screenwriters, the producers, and the primary actors.
Among the actors, Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man, reportedly gets half the actor budget.
While there was no script yet, a number of Avengers would not be able to make it until the end, as per Bleeding Cool. But with the reported budget for the film production, it is assumed that the sequel to Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is going to be massive as well, not to mention its large superhero ensemble.
"Avengers: Infinity War" follows on the Earth's Mightiest Heroes as they face and battle the Mad Titan Thanos, who is eager to own the Infinity Stones for his evil plans. While Thanos' story arc was not that emphasized in Marvel's Phase Two, his existence would be felt in Marvel's upcoming Phase Three films, according to Cinema Blend.
Overall, exact details on the plot, characters, and cast are yet to be revealed at this point.
The Russos' "Avengers: Infinity War - Part I" is slated to hit theaters on May 4, 2018 while "Avengers: Infinity - Part II" is set to premiere in theaters on May 3, 2019.
