One thing is quite certain - a new DLC character for Super Smash Bros is touching down soon and the following names are being floated around as likely candidates: Wolf, Shantae and Shovel Knight. But a new report is saying that none of the mentioned will be unpacked.

Yibada has earlier reported that a digital complete pack is selling soon and among the listed characters to join Smash Bros is Shovel Knight that will boast of trainable features, which is in line with the rumors that the upcoming DLC will come with evolving personality. But a new story popped out, claiming that none of the names will be introduced soon.

According to game blog site My Nintendo News, the new Smash Bros character will definitely arrive before end of October 2015 and will be made public before its commercial debut. That means meaty details will be supplied in the days ahead.

However, the report also hinted that Smash Bros fans should instead expect a totally new character as the one to be unveiled is not in any way connected to the recently concluded Smash Bros ballot. And to get the Super Smash crowd more excited, My Nintendo News provided the teasers below:

  • The new character intro is hardly a surprise, meaning the Smash Bros community is quite familiar to what will be introduced soon.
  • Fans can expect a first-party character, which hints that it will be an in-house effort.
  • It will be a combo revelation so the new character will be accompanied by an additional game stage.
  • This early, the upcoming Smash Bros DLC character intro is making significant noise in social media and the likelihood is the same buzz will increase exponentially following the revelation.

But really the best part of the hints unleashed so far is the prospect of not waiting that long for the Super Smash Bros DLC character as the same report underscored the likelihood of a release date happening in the last few days of October 2015.
