Coming off a bye week, the Minnesota Vikings (2-2) are set to host the reeling Kansas City Chiefs (1-4) for a Week 6 match at the TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday, October 18.
The Chiefs have lost four in a row after their season opening 27-20 victory over the Houston Texans. Their last game was a close 18-17 loss to an injury-riddled Chicago Bears lineup at their own home turf of Arrowhead Stadium last Sunday, via Fox Sports.
Andy Reid's team squandered a 17-6 advantage going into the fourth quarter as they let Jay Cutler and the Bears rally with two touchdowns, the second of which with 18 seconds remaining, in the payoff period.
It was the fourth straight defeat for Kansas City as they are now at the bottom of AFC West.
Meanwhile, the Vikings are also coming off a sorry loss, 23-20, against the Denver Broncos in Week 4 at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High, as per ESPN.
Former league MVP Adrian Peterson was held to 81 yards on 16 carries by the Broncos' vaunted defensive line and the 30-year-old is keen on redeeming himself against the Chiefs this week.
Peterson will need a lot of help from the rest of the Vikings' offensive crew, however, starting with their quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater.
Prediction: Vikings win, 21-10.
