Google Chromecast $35 TV-on-a-stick is a great device. Once configured, favorite shows and games can be watched on an Android or iOS device.
Google Chromecast can simply notice that a remote control is not included in the package. The user's Android or iOS device will act as the remote control for the Chromecast with dozens of apps that are compatible with the device, PC World reported.
Google Chromecast by default has the name Chromecast8988. Some may find it acceptable, a very minor detail, but to several users, that may not be the case. One can always personalize the name of the Chromecast by simply launching the Chromecast app, then the Devices tab, then the Settings button (the icon that looks like a gear), then tap Name, and simply type in the desired name.
When the Google Chromecast is idle, it will activate its screen saver. It will display the default screen saver such as pandas and waterfalls. Again, through the Chromecast app, tap Devices tab, then the Settings button for the Chromecast you want to change, then tap Backdrop. From here, one can choose whole albums in Google Photos, images from the user's Flickr account. Facebook photos and much more. One can even choose images from NASA, Finest Apps reported.
Once Google Chromecast is up and running, a new button may pop-up on different occasions. It is a rectangular-shaped button with a small wireless icon in the bottom-left corner and it is a Chromecast button. When apps pop up, it means that the application is compatible with Chromecast and by simply tapping it, it will let you stream from your Android or iOS device.
Google Chromecast is compatible with Netflix, YouTube and Spotify apps.
