They say that nobody’s perfect, but in one school in Hebei Province, one’s handwriting must be, at least, near perfection.
Posts of the handwritten works of students at Hengshui High School of Hebei Province with corresponding remarks from a teacher stirred the online community.
Based from the posted pictures, the handwriting of some students almost appear to be printed by a computer in terms of overall quality and neatness; yet, the teacher still found fault in them, reported China Daily.
More than 600 British netizens reacted online.
Some expressed their admiration over the neat handwriting. Others, in contrast, said that such “suppresses students' creativity,” according to China Daily.
Someone named Qazplm posted a comment asking about the “point” of the whole handwriting issue. For Qazplm, each individual has a unique handwriting.
One teacher asked a student named Hu Yingchen for a meeting regarding her handwriting. The teacher wrote on Hu’s paper: “See me for criticism,” reported Mail Online.
Another teacher’s remark was, “definitely needs more practice.” In one handwritten work, the lowercase letters “t” and “n” were encircled, probably to notify the student about the strokes made on these two letters.
Graphology is defined as the process of analyzing handwriting.
Though the teacher who checked the work may have no knowledge of graphology, this teacher simply analyzed the appearance itself of the handwriting of one student.
“Not one stroke more; not one stroke less,” the teacher wrote in one paper.
