Marvel has shown us in the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" that only those who are worthy can lift Thor's hammer, Mjolnir. Now, people can try it for themselves courtesy of a smart aleck who recreated it.
Prankster and YouTube user Sufficiently Advanced came up with a way to recreate the "worthiness factor" into his homemade Mjolnir.
Viral Thread shared the video on their site which has now reached more than 2.5 million views.
In the comics, only Thor is capable of lifting Mjolnir, a hammer that is mystically empowered by Odin, his father.
Only a few have had the chance to lift it based on their worthiness. Recently, in the comics Thor was deemed unworthy to lift it and a woman replaced him as the new Thor.
In a stroke of pure ingenuity and creativity, the guy made an ultra-powerful electromagnet in the shape of the mighty Thor's trusty uru hammer, Mjolnir.
The only way to deactivate the electromagnet is through a thumbprint detector that is keyed to his own thumbprint only.
He then used the hammer to trick folks on the street to believe that they can't lift the hammer because they weren't worthy. The results, of course, were as hilarious as they were effective.
Many tried and even forced themselves to lift the make-shift Thor hammer to no avail. Then, the creator simply and confidently lifts the hammer effortlessly before putting the hammer back down for others to give it another go.
Eventually, a few folks got wind of the prank with one guy detecting the thumbprint scanner and the last guy intelligently finding a way to lift the hammer on his own! You'll have to watch it to believe it.
