The jailbreak community has just unlocked iOS 9 courtesy of the Pangu Team, the brains behind the jailbreaking of the previously released iOS 7.1, iOS 8, and 8.1.
According to Tech Times, Pangu has released the jailbreak for iOS 9 which includes an update that would fix the bugs that wasn't previously addressed in its initial release.
The Pangu 9 1.0.1 update enhances the success rate of the jailbreak, fixes a bug that leads to a 0A error, guarantees the removal of the Pangu app, and fixes the breakdown when it's being launched on selected PCs.
If you have jailbroken your iPhone or iPad successfully then there's no need to do it all over again.
Tech Node reported that the Pangu tool is only available on Windows. This is not new as jailbreakers have been using this platform since iOS 7. Pangu 9 supports Apple devices that are running on iOS 9.
Mac owners can use the Windows Virtual Machine to carry out the Pangu tool.
The Pangu Team surprised Apple users that it's already operational as soon as it was released. The previous jailbreak tools for iOS 8.2 to iOS 8.4 were unstable and unusable. It took a lot of tweaks and downloads before it was ready for use. Pangu was evidently more prepared this time around.
The Pangu 9 is currently compatible with the following devices: iPod touch, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4, iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Air 2.
You can download the jailbreak tool here and follow @PanguTeam on Twitter for more updates.
Meanwhile, people are still waiting for a jailbreak for Mac's OS X.
