Like Tyra Banks, the following "America's Next Top Model" winners have tried acting but they have yet to play a role that will make fans label them as successful actresses like "ANTM" alums Yaya DaCosta, Analeigh Tipton and Eva Marcille.
5. "ANTM" cycle 7 winner CariDee English
English's first TV role was Tia, which she played in "One Tree Hill" season 4 episode 7, which aired on Nov. 15, 2006. She also played bit parts in TV series "Gossip Girl" and "In the Bag."
Currently, English is still modelling and she serves as a spokesperson for the National Psoriasis Foundation, according to Independent.
4. "ANTM" cycle 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez
Gonzalez appeared in the 2008 romantic comedy "Nothing Like the Holidays," which starred John Leguizamo, Freddy Rodriguez and Debra Messing. In 2012, Gonzalez also starred in the TV movie "79th McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade" opposite Haley Reinhart.
3. "ANTM" cycle 5 sixth placer and cycle 17 winner Lisa D'Amato
In 2010, D'Amato appeared in an episode of "Tacky House" and in 2013, she starred in the 2013 drama "Cowboys and Indians," which was written and directed by Ian McCrudden.
2. "ANTM" cycle 4 winner Naima Mora
Mora appeared in "Veronica Mars" season 2 episode 1 titled "Normal is the Watchword," which aired Sept. 28, 2005. She also appeared as herself in TV series "Jensen!" and "The City That Never Sleeps."
1. "ANTM" cycle 18 winner Sophie Sumner, 2
In 2012, Sumner was seen in the Bollywood film "Cocktail" as a friend of Deepika Padukone, who recently launched her clothing line, India reported. Sumner also starred in short films "Generation Britpop," "SON of Nosferatu" and "Spicy Tuna."
