A proposal for a new X-Men solo film could revolve around the team's youngest member as Ellen Page would love to reprise her role as Kitty Pryde.
While the move to have the Kitty Pryde in a solo flick is beyond the actress' hands, she has made it known in an interview with Cinefilos.it that she is open to any offers should 20th Century Fox propose something.
The X-Men movie franchise helmed by Fox has been hard at work producing several solo films with "Deadpool" and "Gambit" set to begin next year and Wolverine about to appear on his third movie in 2017.
Page has played the role of Kitty Pryde for the X-Men movies twice beginning with "X-Men: The Last Stand" and last year with "X-Men: Days of Future Past."
In the latter movie, Page played a major role as she was responsible for Wolverine's consciousness being sent back in time to his younger body.
Kitty Pryde is one of the most popular X-Men characters over the past three decades in the comics.
Since her introduction in Marvel Comics' Uncanny X-Men #129, she has grown as a character and is now looked up to as one of the professors for the younger mutants in the X-Men.
Page is best known for her title role in the movie "Juno" where she received numerous nominations and received several awards in the process.
Last Sunday, Page attended the Rome Film Festival premiere of the movie "Freeheld" and was interviewed briefly about the future of her character Kitty Pryde.
Asked about a potential reprising of her role in a solo movie, Page grinned from ear to ear as she responded to the question.
