Kylo Ren has been rumored to be the long lost child of Han Solo and Leia in J.J. Abrams' forthcoming space sci-fi film "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens."
According to Reddit user TFA Apprentice, he was a blood relation of Luke and that he was Solo and Leia's son. It has been added that Luke Skywalker and Rey's relationship factored in to Ren's impulse in the story.
Rey is also rumored as Skywalker's daughter, but actually she was not, as per the Reddit user. Rey was Skywalker's apprentice and because she had been left parentless at a young age, Skywalker might be the closest being she had had as a father figure. Nonetheless, Rey was not Skywalker by blood, as bt TFA Apprentice.
Overall, the Reddit user pointed out that he or she had neither seen Abram's film nor had been part of the film's production.
According to Cinema Blend, Skywalker might have sensed the "Dark Side" and had opted not to train Ren, but had put his attention to Rey instead. This would have placed a huge impact on Ren, as his uncle had presumably chosen an adopted apprentice over his own blood and flesh.
Still, rumors said that Ren was part of the genealogy and he had just gotten his surname Ren as he had been abducted by the Knights of Ren and had been taught their ways.
"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens," which is set 30 years after the events in the "Return of Jedi." It stars an ensemble of both old and new heroes and villains played by Oscar Isaac, Hamill, Max von Sydow, Simon Pegg, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson, John Boyega, Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford, among others.
Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" hits theaters on Dec. 18 while Gareth Edwards's "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" premieres on Dec. 16, 2016. Meanwhile, Johnson's "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is slated to premiere in theaters on May 26, 2017 while Colin Trevorrow's "Star Wars: Episode IX" premieres in 2019.
