The newest reboot of "Need for Speed" is looking at a full set of cars, complete with several brands and a variety of models for long-time and new players. All in all, the car count for the game is at 51, with models from brands like BMW, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Toyota and more.
Players who want to personalize their cars can also do so. Ghost Games has confirmed that the cars can be customized to suit preferences and style, GameSpot reported. There are free updates coming to "Need for Speed," where some can be customization options. What is great about this is that DLCs will not be paid.
Recently, Electronic Arts also answered a few questions about what fans can expect for the "Need for Speed" reboot. Executive Producer Marcus Nilsson revealed to Examiner some details on cops' presence, progression and vehicles in the game.
It appears that the type and level of car that one drives will have an effect on the way that cop will behave in the game. Simply put, the stronger a car is, the more roadblocks a player will encounter. Lower-tiered cars may have less of a problem, but it may be better to go with a sleeper car. This type of vehicle is dubbed as such because it is supposed to be a high-performance car but seen as simpler.
"You can basically trick the police that way," Nilsson said to the publication. According to Nilsson, the difference in cops' treatment of cars can be a way to go around the presence of authorities.
However, this does not mean that cops will be crawling all over "Need for Speed." Developer Ghost Games has confirmed that cops will be in specific section, which players can learn to adapt to when they play the game. Players who also want to avoid cop races can just pay the fine to get the authorities out of their way.
Finally, progression in the game does not have back-to-square-one system. Reputation will not roll back. However, not following racing etiquette can become a hindrance in overall progress.
"Need for Speed" will launch on Nov. 3. It will come to the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
