The Android Marshmallow concept is available for Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z3 Compact.
According to iDigital Times, Sony released the beta update for these devices in Finland, Norway, Estonia, Iceland, UK, Germany, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, and Latvia.
Sony confirmed that it is planning to roll out the update for many devices within the next few weeks. This was also published on Sony's official blog on Oct. 19. Sony is known to add its own tweaks in Google's Android software. Hence, the amalgamated upgrade comes to the devices a little later than expected.
Sony will initially roll out the beta version for the testers, which will help the company to obtain feedback and make the changes accordingly. It will release the actual Android Marshmallow upgrade thereafter.
Android Marshmallow was released on Oct. 9, along with Google Nexus 5X. LG G4 was the first device out of the Nexus family to receive this update a couple of weeks back. The software update is working superbly till now.
It resolves the problem of device over heating, touch screen lag, and battery issues. It also helps to boost the device internally as it constantly clears the cache of the phone. The upgrade also brings with it the support for finger print scanning, 4G LTE data connectivity service, Bluetooth 4.2, an enhanced and improved Wi-Fi connectivity, and the USB Type C connection.
The upgrade will also add new icons in the menu of the phone, along with adding the feature of Do Not Disturb in the home screen drop down menu.
