While Fosun International is a Chinese conglomerate, Studio 8 is a start-up production venture of Jeff Robinov, former president of Warner Bros. Motion Pictures Group.

Sponsored by Variety and organized by the Asia Society Southern California's Entertainment & Media in Asia (EMASIA) series, the summit will feature several executives from different studios as speakers.

Among these speakers are Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos, Sony Pictures Entertainment China's production and strategic development head Dede Nickerson, Huayi Brothers Media president Wang Zhonglei, Youku Tudou senior VP and HeYi Film Company CEO Allen Zhu, and Seven Stars Entertainment and Media chairman and CEO Bruno Wu.

Other awardees at the summit are Chinese superstars Huang Xiaoming, Tong Dawei and Zhao Wei for their latest project "Hollywood Adventures," a Chinese-American co-production.

The three actors will receive the 2014 Film Ensemble of the Year award for the bilingual romance comedy, which will hit theaters in 2015.

Currently filming in Los Angeles, Zhao plays a seductress in "Hollywood Adventures," while Huang and Tong play two good friends who fell in love with the same woman, Zhao's character, while visiting Hollywood.

Pictures of Zhao, Huang and Tong laughing and having fun while filming have been circulating online. The three actors are friends in real life, according to Fan Share.

Prior to "Hollywood Adventures," Zhao starred in the box-office hit "Dearest," which premiered in China in September.

Directed by "Fast and Furious" director Justin Lin, "Hollywood Adventures" also stars Lorin McCraley, Omar J. Dorsey, Jonathan Bray, Paul Edney, Patrick Weil, Frank Drank, David A. Garcia, Dirk Ellis and Lorin McCraley, among others.

"Fast and Furious 6" star Sung Kang is also in the film.
