Like male celebrities who are proud of their dad-bod, Drew Barrymore is also proud of her mom-bod - the result of having two kids. However, during her early motherhood days, the actress admits to at first being conscious of losing weight she gained because of pregnancy and childbirth.
Her eldest is 3-year-old Oliver, followed by 18-month-old Frankie. Admitting that even before having the two babies that she did not look good in a bathing suit, the actress says she now looks even worse in a swimsuit because of cellulite, but would rather have children "and look a little worse in a bathing suit," quotes People.
The former child star, best remembered for her role as the child who shrieked in "ET," shares that she even went gluten-free to help lose weight, but it failed and only left Drew unhappy. After the experience, she changed her priorities in life.
When she gave birth to Oliver, she did not experience post-partum depression. However, she had a different experience after she gave birth to Frankie which she describes as being under the clouds for around six months, reports E! News.
She credits Will Kopelman, her husband and an art consultant, for making her feel good despite the physical changes brought by motherhood. Not feeling good about yourself would be a big disadvantage when making babies or just being a woman, Drew adds.
She points out, "Having a hot body is just not my thing. I care a little, I don't care a lot," quotes People. Drew is the cover story of People which hits newsstands on Friday.
