Apple fans are anxiously waiting for the new MacBook Air and Pro 2016 release dates as the tech giant has not announced the official launch date of both devices.
New reports claimed that the company will stagger the release of the two laptops with the MacBook Air 2016 coming later this year, while the MacBook Pro 2016 arriving in spring next year.
The two laptops were missing in action at the Apple event on Sept. 9, which immediately led to speculations that the devices will be released at a later date.
MacBook Air 2016 will reportedly arrive later this year just in time for the holiday season, while a more powerful version of MacBook Pro will arrive in the market in spring 2016, according to Neurogadget.
If rumors proved to be true, consumers will be able to get their hands on the new laptop in December since the new iPad Pro will hit the shelves in November.
The MacBook Air 2016 will compete with Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which Microsoft claimed as more powerful than the current MacBook Air. Thus, Apple is expected to counter this claim.
Some of the purported features of the MacBook Air 2016 are 13-inch and 15-inch screen displays, Intel Skylake-U chipset, OS X El Capitan, Type-C USB port, and an improved battery life. The laptops will most likely be equipped with Force Touch technology. The MacBook Air will be even thinner than last time.
Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro 2016 is also expected to pack almost the same specs and features, but with more powerful RAM.
However, Apple has not confirmed the aforementioned features and release date.
