Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) will receive another shocking news in "Chapter Twenty-Five" of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2. The synopsis and promo video of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2, episode 3 tease that the news will involve Petra (Yael Grobglas), the ex-wife of Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni).
Rafael knew in the second episode about Petra's pregnancy after his sister, Luisa (Yara Martinez), pointed out the signs that a woman is pregnant. However, Rafael has received the shock of his life when he found out through a phone call that his sperm was split in two samples and Petra took the second sample from the sperm bank.
According to TV Guide's synopsis for "Jane the Virgin" Season 2, episode 3, the news about Petra's pregnancy still has Rafael bewildered. Rafael is seen in the promo video telling Jane about the shocking news.
Aside from dealing with the issue with Petra, Rafael and Jane will try to plan the baptism of their child, baby Mateo in the third episode. Furthermore, Jane will be making a tough decision on the subject of attending a graduate program.
"Jane the Virgin" lead actress Gina Rodriguez addressed in an interview with Variety that she wants her character to embrace motherhood without losing sight of her dreams. Rodriguez further added that she wants the CW TV series show how Jane will struggle with her new role as a mother and her dreams but eventually overcome the dilemma, refocus and accomplish both at the same time.
At the moment, Jane's top priority is to make sure that baby Mateo is taken care of and well protected after the kidnapping scare that she went through. The second episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 has shown how paranoid Jane has become after the traumatic incident.
Jane still fears that Sin Rostro (Bridget Regan) could return any time to take her son away again. Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will have the other characters in the CW TV series help their friends with their personal problems.
The promo video teases on a Xiomara-Rogelio argument in the new episode but the synopsis reveals that Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) will try to help Jane's dad and telenovela superstar Rogelio de la Vega (Jaime Camil) in facing his past. Then, Rogelio will be offering some advice to Michael (Brett Dier) concerning his feelings for Jane.
"Jane the Virgin" Season 2 returns with episode 3 titled "Chapter Twenty-Five" on Monday night, Oct. 26. The brand new episode will air at 9/8c on the CW Network.
