The next episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2 will show how Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) continues to embrace her new role in life which is being a mother to baby Mateo. A synopsis and promo video for "Jane the Virgin" Season 2, episode 2 titled "Chapter Twenty-Four" tease on the guest appearance of "TiK ToK" singer Kesha in the CW TV series and Jane's relationship with Michael (Brett Dier) and Rafael (Justin Baldoni).
According to TVGuide's synopsis of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2, episode 2, Jane will spend more time taking care of baby Mateo after the traumatic kidnapping incident with Sin Rostro (Bridget Regain) in the premiere episode. However, Jane will encounter tension with the other two men in her life, Michael and Rafael, while bonding with her son.
Jane will always be grateful to Michael because her detective ex-fiancé rescued baby Mateo from Sin Rostro in the premiere episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2. As for Rafael, Jane will always have a connection to the Marbella hotel owner because he is the biological father of Mateo.
The synopsis further teased on the other storylines in the upcoming new episode. Jane's parents, Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) and Rogelio (Jaime Camil) will perform on a cruise ship to evade a lawsuit.
In the premiere episode, Jane and Abuela Alba (Ivone Coll) has already found out that Xiomara got married to Rogelio while drunk in Las Vegas through a video that Xiomara showed them. Alba will make a huge decision in the second episode but the synopsis did not reveal any further details regarding Alba's decision.
The decision could be on Alba's legal status in the United States since the romantic comedy-drama series focused on the class and immigration issue of Jane's grandmother in the tenth episode of "Jane the Virgin" Season 1. Executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman teased in an Entertainment Weekly report that the new season will dig deep into Alba's situation of lacking a green card.
"We're going to tackle that, what it means, and what choices there are," Urman shared. Elsewhere in the upcoming episode, Rafael and Petra (Yael Grobglas) become suspicious of Lachlan (Michael Rady).
Meanwhile, the promo video of "Jane the Virgin" Season 2, episode 2 teases on Kesha's guest appearance as Jane's not-a-fan-of-kid neighbor and the appearance of two Janes. "Jane the Virgin" Season 2, episode 2 will air on Monday night, Oct. 19, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
