Criss Angel has reported that he's cancelling his current shows for the first time in 7-years. The magician has performed over 3,000 shows since his career took off, and has never walked away until now.
The reason for the cancellation has everything to do with Criss Angel's sick 2-year-old son, Johnny Crisstopher Sarantakos. From what we've come to understand, according to a Fox News report, the young child is suffering from lymphoblastic leukemia, a dangerous form of cancer. He's currently a patient in an "Australian" hospital, and that is where Angel will be until however long.
His show, which is titled "Believe," was set to run from Oct. 23 to Nov. 1; however, due to the imminent cancellation, fans were refunded along with an apology on Twitter from Angel himself.
"In light of a family emergency the news I was going to announce this weekend will be postponed," Angel tweeted on Friday, October 23, 2015. "Thank you."
The popular illusionist followed up with two more tweets which included one with him holding his son.
At the moment, we are not certain how bad his son's condition is at the moment, but we are hoping the 2-year-old boy pull through because we all know lymphoblastic leukemia can be deadly even with proper treatment. As for when Angel will perform again, for now, we cannot say since he's going through a tough time.
We recommend fans to keep watching his social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook to learn more about his son's condition and to also learn when the 47-year-old magician will perform again.
