According to several reports, Clash of Clans developer Supercell has said that they will unveil a big update at ClashCon event on October 24. In the meantime, the game developer has released a Halloween update (optional) with a few limited-time treats.
Gamers are now encouraged to use more spells during the holiday. Two important changes have been made to the gameplay formula. There are limited-time special Halloween Cauldron obstacles that contain additional Elixir for harvesting. Also, the 1-gem Spell Factory boost special is back and will run through Halloween weekend. Players now have the chance to boost their spell factories for one gem.
Spell Factories let the gamers create spells using the Elixir. By making Elixir more available and by making Spell Factory boosts cheaper, this means spell attacks will be more useful for a short period of time. Players can now spend the valuable gems on other bonuses apart from magic as boosts cost less.
The optional Halloween update is available now on Android and iOS devices. Players should ensure to update their game to the newest version to get full access to the spells, obstacles, sounds and loading screen.
Furthermore, according to Ecumenical News, Clash of Clans will get a nighttime gameplay mode. Rumors are also doing the rounds that the update will introduce the new Barbarian level 8 and Town Hall 11. Several reports suggest that the game developer is working on a richer Single Player Mode that will enable gamers to explore the world of Clash of Clans.
