"Total War: Warhammer" is the next big game from the strategy masters The Creative Assembly. The newest trailer showcases a new race along with revealing the release date of the game.
For those who are aware, "Total War" games have always been about historical places in the past, a time when men used shields and swords to wage war. However, this new title is based on the popular "Warhammer" franchise and it is all about Humans' vs Orcs, Dwarfs and the Vampire Counts.
Magic and technology plays a huge role in this game, but the basic gameplay is similar in some ways to regular Total War games, so fans should feel at home in some respects, but should still expect a learning curve due to some of the different gameplay elements.
Consumers who choose to pre-order the game will get the Chaos Warriors Race Pack, according to a report from IGN. This is expected to bring forth three new Legendary Lords and the ability to play as the Chaos Warriors on the single player campaign map. The Creative Assembly will also offer "Standard" and "Limited Edition" versions of the game alongside the Chaos Warriors Race Pack.
There's also the "High King Edition", which includes the "Book of Grudges" from Warhammer lore. Inside is consumers will find a Grudge ring, a Whetstone Pendant, a Dwarfen Drinking Horn and Stand, a Canvas Map, an integrated Artbook, and the steelbook, guide along with the Chaos Warriors Race Pack we talked about previously.
No idea yet on the price of the "High King Edition", but we are confident it is not cheap. As for the release date, the game is set for an April 28, 2016 release around the world.
In the past, The Creative Assembly has shared a lot about "Total War: Warhammer" to get fans excited. One such video showcases the Dwarfs as they enter the battle arena to fend off a hoard of Orcs. From what we have seen, it was very intense, something never before seen in previous Total War games.
