Apple Music has become quite popular after its June release, yet the music streaming service could soon be available for Android mobile users, based on new leaked screenshots from a German website. The images show certain parts of the app that look much like the iOS version, yet also include some Android design features.
German tech site MobileGeeks published the screenshots. It noted that the beta tester captured the screen-shots while testing the app, which was only available through invitation.
The screenshots reveal parts of the app including the For You screen and Beats One streaming radio. However, it also includes some Android-like designs including the Hamburger menu and slide-out sidebar navigation, according to VentureBeat.
The German-language site's leaked screenshots revealed that Apple did not make a verbatim conversion of the iOS app to Android. This differs from Google's YouTube iOS app, for example.
Apple had already announced that an Android version of Apple Music would launch this autumn. In the past MobileGeeks has been mostly right on the money about Android rumors.
TechAeris reported last month that some users of Google's platform received invitations to take part in a beta test for Apple Music's Android app. However, it would be unlike Apple to conduct a beta test that way, according to Macworld.
Apple Music for Android will be the second app the company has released for Android. The first one, its "Move to iOS" app that allows Android users to transfer their data to an iPhone, received many harsh one-star reviews when launched, according to VentureBeat.
