NPD Group has highlighted its official report for the month of September to give details about latest physical sales of its video games for the coming month in different areas of United States.
The report reveals the dominance of "NBA 2K16" in the chart as a top-selling game, while "Madden NFL 16" is in the second position. In total, four among the top ten selling games of the month in United States were of sports games. On viewing the complete list, game lovers would be able to know about huge collections based on GOTY editions, collectors' editions and bundles.
NBA 2K16
As mentioned before, the game topped the entire list of NPD games. In addition, "NBA 2k16" is perfectly suitable to play on varying platforms, such as XBO, PS4, PS3 and 360.
Madden NFL 16
The game is playable on each platform available, as similar to the previous one.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" online game secures third position in the complete list launched by NPD Group.
Other Games
Other games in the list will include "FIFA 16," "Destiny: The Taken King," NMU or "Super Mario Maker," "Mad Max," "NHL 16," "Destiny Infinity 6.0" and "Minecraft."
Speaking about the launch of its top game "NBA 2K16," Liam Callahan of NPD Group commented, "By adjusting for many days in the competitive market, NBA 2K 16 had now proved to be the best launch of all-time for each NBA 2K title. Even for the eighth generation software, the game had its best launch month forever for each Sports Game."
