Rockstar has limited their responses on inquiries regarding the possible development of "GTA 6," but new reports suggest that the game may be launched in 2018.
Rockstar Games has been known to be quite meticulous in the developmental stages of their games, according to Neurogadget. Because of their history, it is possible that the game launch could be extended to 2020.
"GTA 2" and "GTA 3" came shortly after the launch of the very first "Grand Theft Auto," but it still took them 7 years to launch "GTA 4." With "GTA 4," Rockstar followed the gamers' request to adapt a real U.S. map instead of just an in-house map design. This could also be one of the factors why they are delaying "GTA 6."
The publication also noted that Rockstar does not know what the format of the new game will be, but they already have ideas brewing in. With 45 years of experience in developing games, Rockstar has a lot of backdoor ideas they can implement, including a confirmed female character. With the rise of a female character, critics are suspecting a love story to evolve on the plot of "GTA 6."
In a different report from Neurogadget, it was stated that "GTA 6" will be offered to PC and PlayStation. There is no news yet whether it will be launched to Xbox One or not.
In terms of the cars in "GTA 6," gamers can expect a wide variety of designs that will cover the 1950s until the 1960s. Some of the suggested cars include the Shelby GT500 and the Ford Pickup.
"GTA 6" is rumored to include the former GTA maps as well as the entire "GTA" world map.
