"Legends of Tomorrow" will have several new super villains, Connor Hawke's appearance and possible details on Hawkgirl's origin story and crossover in "The Flash" TV series.
Warner Bros. announced a casting call to play a new character in "Legends of Tomorrow" as they have provided several descriptions for the role. The character's description is that of a black or biracial male who has once took on a uniform and stood for justice and has gone missing, ComicBook reported.
Although it is not yet confirmed, comic book fans immediately speculated that this character could be Connor Hawke, the son of Oliver Queen and second Green Arrow in the DC comics.
Connor Hawke is the illegitimate son of Oliver Queen and Sandra Hawke, who happens to be an African American and Korean decent. Connor became the Green Arrow for a short time after his father went missing and in the New 52 continuety he becomes Red Arrow and works for the World Army on Earth 2.
It was during the first "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover that fans speculated Connor's existence when Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) unexpectedly bumped into an old flame of his and audiences believed that person is Connor's mom although executive producer Marc Guggenheim did not named dropped him; However, Warner Bros. stated that this version of Connor Hawke will not be Oliver's son and that he is just a future successor to the Green Lantern mantle.
Aside from Connor Hawke, five DC villains are being considered to join "Legends of Tomorrow" and these are Hath-Set, The Flying Ducthman, Shadow Thief, the Spider and Scandal Savage, SuperHeroHype reported.
Both Hath-Set and Shadow Thief have connections to Hawkman (Falk Hentchel) and Hawkgirl (Ciare Renee), while Scandal Savage is the daughter of the show's big bad, Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).
In other news, cast member Ciara Renee revealed several details on Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl's origin story as stated that her character was once an Egyptian priestess who has been reincarnated by Hawkman for centuries. She added that Hawkman remembers every reincarnation of Hawkgirl and yet she does not recall it as Kendra quest to discover her past is her prime motivation in the show.
Hawkgirl is also set to appear in several crossover episodes in "The Flash" season 2 and possibly on "Arrow" season 4 since Hawkman will also guest star in the show.
"Legends of Tomorrow" is speculated to premiere in January 2016 on the CW Network.
