Bryce Dallas Howard, who portrayed the high-heeled park manager Claire in "Jurassic World," has confirmed that a part two to the box-office hit dinosaur franchise will begin filming in 2017.
In an interview with eTalk, she discussed how it is to work with dino whisperer Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and director Colin Trevorrow, while also announcing that "Jurassic World 2" will begin shooting in two years, as reported by Scified.
However, Howard did not release any further details such as the plot of the film, and the actress merely kept on encouraging fans and viewers that it would be a spectacular movie.
In addition, the "Jurassic World" actress also confirmed through Trevorrow that she will no longer be running for her life in designer heels, as reported by VC Post.
Howard's character was criticized for her fashion choices in the previous film, and fans appeared to find it ridiculous that the character did not even trip on her shoes or break a heel.
Howard remarked that "The way that Colin told me that the sequel was happening and I was going to be in it, he texted me: "#NoHeels2018" and I was like, 'Yeah boy'. She needs to be ready to run, potentially."
Despite the criticisms and comments of audiences regarding her outfit choice in the first film, Howard defended her character by explaining that Claire was the Operations Manager of the park and worked in the office.
Howard added that Claire was expected to be in business attire due to her position and it would be illogical if she had changed during the pandemonium of the film.
Additionally, the plot of "Jurassic World 2" will reportedly focus on Howard's fashionable character and will continue the story of Dr. Wu (B.D Wong), the geneticist in the previous film. Both Pratt and Wong are expected to reprise their roles in the next instalment as the movie may involve the geneticist's plans for creating new genetically modified specimens.
Consequently, there are currently no other official announcements from the producers of "Jurassic World" and the sequel will reportedly premiere in June 2018.
