It came as a surprise to see "Jurassic World" become the highest grossing movie of the year and the third highest grossing film of all time. However, for Bryce Dallas Howard, one of the most intriguing issues was the way fans were interested in her character's choice of footwear.
Apparently, the most unrealistic aspect was not all the dinosaurs moving about Isla Nublar but Claire Dearing running away from the said dinosaurs and across the whole island in heels. This is meant to change in the next sequel as Howard has confirmed ditching her painful shoes, according to Collider that sat down with the actress ahead of the home release.
Howard dished on the way director Colin Trevorrow told her that the sequel was happening, when it got green lit, and she was going to feature, he texted her "#NoHeels2018." Howards was like "Yeah, boy!"
The actress also teased that her more superficial side was people noticing that it is hard to run in heels. However, concerning the controversy, Howard explained that it all goes back to her character. Claire is that type of woman who wears high heels all the time.
In addition, Claire never anticipated traipsing about the island and for her to magically stumble across a pair of flats would not be effective either. All in all, Howard is excited she will not have to wear the heels for the upcoming sequel.
After the previous film's unexpected amount of success, Universal network did not immediately confirm a sequel, which appeared odd at the time, Cinema Blend reported. The confirmation eventually came and now "Jurassic World 2" is slated for a June 22, 2018 release.
Trevorrow who will be involved in the development but not as a director teased the plot will revolve around rival corporations growing their own dinosaurs. That appears unfortunate for the world since, one of the major themes in the previous sequel was the effects of growing and training these beasts to become weapons and soldiers for the government.
