"Street Fighter 5" will feature a new game trailer for Dhalsim, Fight Money details, two new characters and an official launch date of the sequel.
Capcom showcased several new details for "Street Fighter 5" during the Paris Games Week event. First of these is the announcement of a new playable character in the form of Dhalsim as he now sports a new look in similar to that of other characters like Ken, Vega and M. Bison, Eurogamer reported. According to Capcom, Dhalsim still remains a keep-away fighter as he uses is long limbs and fireball attacks against strong offensive characters. His V-Skill is called the "Yoga Float" and as the name suggest, gamers will let Dhalsim float in the air in few seconds upon activation and he is able use his special attacks while floating. The skill can also be activated when Dhalsim jumps in the air.
Dhalsim's V-Trigger is the "Yoga Burner" which allows him to shoot out streams of flame on the floor an extended period of time. If the opposing character steps in to his Yoga Burner, they will slowly lose health via recoverable damage and they need to get out of its way just to recover their health.
Aside from new character trailer, Capcom added new details on how to earn more Fight Money in "Street Fighter 5" as community manager Matthew Edwards explained that the purpose of the Fight Money is to reward the players. To earn money, gamers will have to raise the stats for their character as well as, completing daily challenges ranging from winning three matches in a row to landing ten special attacks. Players can also earn Fight Money in both online and offline game modes.
"Street Fighter" game creator Yoshinori Ono added that their will be six DLC characters in "Street Fighter 5" following the game's launch. The game will contain 22 playable fighters and two new characters will debut in "Street Fighter 5" due to leaked hidden codes of the game, Gamerant reported. Both characters are named in code and their names are "TUT" and "FAN" and it is speculated that one of them is the final boss for "Street Fighter 5".
Kuan and Sherry are the two new characters that were previously leaked in the game along with other rumored additional fighters such as Eagle, Alex, Urien, Ibuki, Dudley, C. Viper, Poison, Hugo, Abel, Guile and Akuma.
The playable characters so far are Ryu, Chun-Li, Charlie Nash, M. Bison, Cammy White, Birdie, Ken Masters, Necalli, Vega, R. Mika, Rashid, Karin Kanzuki, Zangief, Laura and Dhalsim.
"Street Fighter 5" will officially launch in February 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms.
