Last week, the electronics maker LG started rolling out the Android Marshmallow update to LG G4 in Poland; however, it seems that the company has temporarily canceled the update. The Android M update was delayed due to technical difficulties.
The technical reason for halting the update is not known yet, Geek Snack reported. It is not known when the Android Marshmallow update will start rolling out again. The electronics company will probably try to fix the technical problem quickly.
The delay from the company is kind of a blow to the LG G4 owners as well as the company. Users were hoping that the Poland rollout will ultimately lead to a quicker rollout to the US and Europe. Also, according to previous reports, the LG G4 will possibly the first to receive the Android Marshmallow update, and may be the LG Flex 2.
At present, Android Marshmallow update is rolling out to all Google Nexus devices and Motorola is possibly going to be next (the company is testing Android Marshmallow on the Moto X Pure Edition). With LG working on rolling out Android Marshmallow to Poland now, it could be pretty soon that users see the latest update available for other regions.
Meanwhile, LG G4 users who have the H815 model can download the Android Marshmallow firmware and flash it onto their smartphone, using the company's Mobile tool. The official KDZ of the update is available over at XDA forums for the flashing needs. Please note that the KDZ file is for the H815 model only. Also, LG G4 users will need to be rooted and require the bootloader unlocked for this to be flashed.
