The Android Marshmallow unofficial update has been released for the LG G4 H815 model.
One of the developers from XDA recently released this unofficial upgrade on his website, which means that the users will need to wipe off their device, do a factory reset and then flash their ROM's, according to Android Police.
However, this upgrade is only compatible with the LG G4 H815 model, according to Android Authority.
The users of the current LG flag ship smart phone, the LG G4 will now be able to flash their devices with the unofficial Android Marshmallow upgrade. This is perfect for those users who do not want to wait for the official upgrade to be released for this device.
If the users of any other model will try to update their devices with this version of the update, their devices will certainly get bricked. Soft bricking of the device can also occur, if the upgrade fails and the device shuts down in the middle of the process of installation. In case this happens, the files can be restored through the ADB commands.
Users are required to use the TWRP recovery to flash their ROM's and do a stock update. This update will be split into four part; the system zip files, modem, boot leader, and the boot.
All these files are needed to be downloaded and then saved on the device. The device must be charge to at least 50 percent before attempting to upgrade the device with the latest firm ware. It is also recommended to take a full back up of the files before starting to install this upgrade.
On the other hand, the South Korean giant is working for the official upgrade for LG G4 in parallel as well. This official upgrade will be released via an over the air update, which will be sent randomly for different model numbers.
