Ellen DeGeneres created a parody of Adele's latest hit "Hello," telling her audience that the song was inspired by a conversation she had with the singer.
The host sure knows how to reimagine songs as she does a mashup of Adele's song, Drake's "Hotline Bling," and Lionel Richie's "Hello."
Adele's heartbreaking song has made celebrities cry and to some extent coincidentally prompted other singers to take a break, according to Popsugar.
Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, and One Direction are all going on a hiatus after they finish their remaining commitments. It has reportedly become an industry joke that they are paving the way for Adele's big return.
In the video, Ellen had her own version of an old phone to match Adele's flip phone. Hers was a humongous mobile phone that unfortunately had poor reception, People reported. At some point, the host couldn't hear what the singer saying. She even asked Adele if she had beets.
Ellen's ginormous phone also happens to have a call waiting option.
The host put Adele on hold to attend to an incoming call from Drake. The best part of the video was that Ellen looked dead serious the entire time! It just made the video more hilarious.
When she put Drake on hold to get back to Adele, she was already gone. When she shifted the call to the rapper, he put down the phone, too.
A few seconds later, Richie called giving his own version of "Hello" complete with all the 80s vibe. Ellen didn't seem pleased to receive his call, though.
