The 64th edition of the Annual Miss Universe Pageant is set to air live on Dec. 20, 2015. Fox network has acquired the exclusive rights to air the event as well as domestic rights to telecast Miss USA.

IMG is the new owner of Miss Universe Organization and the senior vice president of original content at IMG, Michael Antinoro told Fox News that collaborating with Fox "marks a new for the Miss Universe Organization as a whole."
"We are very excited to partner with IMG and The Miss Universe Organization to infuse a fresh new energy into these perennial broadcast favorites," David Madden, president of entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company said in a statement.
NBC decided to part ways with Donald Trump and the Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants after Trump's remarks concerning Latinos stirred controversy.
Paula Shugart, president of Miss USA/Miss Universe pageant started looking for a new organization for the pageant. Shugart told Entertainment Weekly that they also planned to live stream Miss Universe 2015.
"I kind of liken it to when the Golden Globes aired during the writer's strike [in 2008]. Obviously, they couldn't do their typical Golden Globes show, but that event went on and it was different the year of the strike. That's kind of the approach I'm taking to this," Shugart said.
