The latest "Suits" season 5 spoilers suggest that coming episode 11, titled "Blowback" will focus on Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel's (Meghan Markle) relationship following the former's arrest.
In the mid-season finale, viewers were surprised to see Mike getting arrested for fraud after he filed his resignation from Pearson Specter Litt. Prior to that, he was talking about starting a new life with Rachel, which made the arrest even more heart wrenching.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Aaron Korsh explained that Mike will not be concerned about who turned him in and was more eager to find out how he could get away with the charges against him.
Although some fans speculated that it was Father Walker who turned him in, some cannot help but wonder if Rachel's mom Laura Zane (Megan Gallagher) had something to do with it.
Laura may have no objections about having Mike as a son-in-law but during the wedding preparations, she felt that Rachel is hiding something from her. It is not a stretch to think that she has spoken to her husband Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) about it and they could have run a quick background check on him.
According to the International Business Times, Laura and Robert may argue that they only did it to protect their daughter. Although Mike's arrest will definitely put a strain on their relationship, some fans are hoping that Rachel will stay by his side through it all. Her parents, however, may not make it all that easy.
"Suits" season 5 episode 11 airs January 2016.
