Nintendo will reportedly deliver a "totally new gaming experience," once its rumored next hybrid gaming machine is unbox, likely to be called Nintendo NX. Supporting the Japanese game maker's recent hint that the NX is all about a new concept, Nintendo said that the device is a fresh approach when compared to the Wii U and 3DS.
According to Nintendo Enthusiast, company chief Kimishima tersely hinted that the NX will unpack a new gaming experience for Nintendo fans. Kimishima, however, stopped short of providing details how the machine will be different from its immediate predecessors.
The same report speculated that the Nintendo blueprint for the NX is a hybrid device that has a console component like the Wii U and a wireless handheld controller that likely is similar to the Nintendo 3DS. It remains unclear though if the NX separate components will have stand-alone features or can function independently of the other.
But as indicated in recent reports, the NX appears to be shaping up as a powerful gaming machine that can overwhelm both the Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One. In terms of inside components, the NX is said to be powered up by a high-end processing chip.
Rumors also say that the Nintendo NX is being designed for Google's mobile operating system or Android but this has been downplayed by the company.
As for the new game titles that will unleash with the NX, there are strong suggestions that point to Mario-centric games with Nintendo saying that intends to grow its iconic game characters with the next-generation gaming machine. Other game titles connected to the NX also include fresh variation of Donkey Kong, Pokémon and The Legend of Zelda.
The latter title is being rumored to debut at the same time with the NX though Nintendo has made clear that Zelda will soon join the Wii U platform. It is expected too that the super-hit brawling game, Super Smash Bros. 4, will see its popularity further exploding with the NX arrival.
Being a new concept, Crossmap predicted that the Nintendo NX release date will not happen until the early months of 2017 but the likelihood remains for a 2016 holiday unpacking.
