ONE Championship, Asia's largest mixed martial arts organization and the largest sports property in Asian history, makes its return to Singapore -- where it has built a solid foundation over the last few years -- in spectacular fashion with another blockbuster card stacked with world-class mixed martial arts action.
ONE: Pride of Lions is scheduled to take place November 13, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore and will feature a highly-anticipated battle between ONE Welterweight World Champion, Ben Askren, and the challenger, Luis Santos.
Along with this exciting main event comes a series of compelling new bouts, including the promotional MMA debut of Australian-based Filipino-English women's strawweight fighter Natalie Gonzales Hills also known as the 'Kilapino.'
"Finally, ONE Championship is back home in Singapore with another exciting night of world-class MMA. Aside from Ben Askren settling the score with Luis Santos, we have also prepared a few surprises for fight fans in the Lion City," said CEO of ONE Championship, Victor Cui.
Natalie Gonzales Hills, who lives and trains in Australia is a worthy female strawweight contender with an already solid record.
Her two wins inside the cage have both come by submission, with her ground game proving to be an asset. Aside from grappling, Hills also boasts very capable striking technique as she joins ONE Championship's growing female roster.
Citing Muay Thai as her first love, Hills is dead set on scoring a victory in her first time in the ONE Cage.
Her opponent, Angela "Unstoppable" Lee is originally from Singapore but has lived and trained mixed martial arts in Waipahu, Hawaii.
She is one of the most promising young fighters on ONE Championship's growing roster and has impressed inside the ONE Cage with her all-around striking and grappling skills. Lee just wrapped up another impressive performance in Jakarta and is looking at a quick turnaround as she faces Hills.
ONE Championship's female division is one of the most exciting, and fans look forward to the competition that takes place within the cage, which is usually fast and fierce.
Hills will be backed by the support of Filipinos around the region, but Lee is no joke and boasts elite-level technique as she trains out of Evolve-MMA -- the largest MMA gym in Asia.
