Although "Game of Thrones" season 6 is expected to premiere by April 2016, rumors, news and predictions of what to expect have started to circulate online.
According to Den of Geek, the latest season of "GOT" is set to air on April 24, 2016 at 9pm. As HBO's new show "Vinyl" reportedly received a 10-episode order with the premiere airing on Feb. 14, its season finale is set to happen on Apr. 17. The network, however, has yet to confirm this announcement.
Much like several fans who believe that Jon Snow is still alive, the outlet also claimed that his story is far from over. It was pointed out that Kit Harington has recently been spotted growing his hair out, and was seen near the series' filming location multiple times.
The outlet also shared photos from Watchers on the Wall showing Harington filming a scene for season 6. Harington was clearly wearing a kind of armor that a Stark might wear into battle, as opposed to his former Night's Watch clothing.
In another photo, he was seen in the midst of a massive battle, which the crew calls "Battle of 6 Armies." Insiders claimed that the scene will be part of season 6 episode 9.
In other news, Vanity Fair recently speculated that the delay in the premiere of "Game of Thrones" season 6 was HBO's way of giving author George R.R. Martin and Penguin Random House more time to finish "The Winds of Winter." The publication held that several clues were suggesting that Martin's new book will be released in the first quarter of 2016, earlier than the series' air date.
