Fans of the horror video game genre will be pleased to know that the first-person horror game "White Day: A Labyrinth Named School" will be ported to the PlayStation VR headset.
"White Day: A Labyrinth Named School" was a massive critical success when it was launched in Korea in 2001. Tame offers a fresh and undeniably scary take on the high school ghost stories. An English translation of the game was scheduled for a release back in 2014, unfortunately the project did not come to fruition.
The game did not perform well commercially. "White Day" developer Sonnori soon drop out of sight and the game was almost destined to obscurity. The game was then considered an abandonware until a group of gamers put together a rough English translation of the game and released it where it once again find traction through a dedicated fan base, according to Engadget.
In January, ROI Games, whose founder also started Sonnori, teased fans that it is working on a remake of "White Day" with improved graphics, new dialog and ghosts. The game is scheduled to be released in Korea in the latter part of November and will be available in the iOS, Android and PC platform.
The VR version of the game was announced at a South Korean Sony event. During the announcement ceremony, Sony and ROI Games unveiled a new trailer.
According to Shack News, ROI Games will head the development of the VR version of the game. "White Day: A Labyrinth Named School" is scheduled to be released in 2016 and will hit the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR platform.
