"The Elder Scrolls 6" release may not happen anytime soon as recent rumors claimed that the game will be released sometime in 2019.
The scarcity of official news surrounding the game makes a 2019 release rational. Initially, it was speculated that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be released in 2016 or 2017. Estimates that are more aggressive suggested that the game could even end up being released before the end of 2015.
In an interview with Dual Shockers, Pete Hines, Bethesda Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing said that it would be a "very long time" before the developer company even as much as talked concerning what the game they would release next to "Fallout 4," leave alone actual release.
Hines' statement makes sense given how thoroughly the developer company has concentrated on "Fallout 4," and although the game is slated for a next week release, the company is still expected to work on other features and DLC related to it that may as well require more time and resources.
In a different interview with the Telegraph UK, Hines referenced the next game in the franchise as "Skyrim 2," although it might have only been a comment without actual significance. Furthermore, it is speculated that the next installment of the game may feature the Argonian race.
"The Elder Scrolls" avid fans are eager to see the game being released sooner judging by a recent survey conducted by Ubisoft among the gaming community concerning the games they wished to be released anytime soon. Most of them said that they would love to see "Elder Scroll 6" or "Skyrim 2."
With regard to the rumor, Bethesda clarified that it does not intend to release the game anytime soon, but it is under development.
