Tom Holland has shared his training for his role in Jon Watts' forthcoming Marvel Comics film "Spider-Man."
Holland is set to play the iconic web-slinger "Spider-Man" in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. Recently, the actor shared a video on his official Instagram account. The clip featured him doing some stunts and routines for Watts' upcoming "Spider-Man." The stunts were mainly jumping, tumbling, and flipping, which the actor needed for the role.
In his caption, Holland expressed his gratitude to the gym where he trained. It reads "Thank you @GymaidLTd and GJTC for an awesome day and thank you so much for the awesome Airtrack mat. I can't wait to have a play. It was so go to be back in the gym so thank you thank you thank you for getting me started again!" His video got more than 7,300 likes.
While his caption indicated that he had not being such work out for a while, it looks like Holland was not going to need a stuntman or special effects to do his role well, as per Cinema Blend. The actor had been doing flips and jumps prior to being cast as Peter Parker, so his skills would make him a remarkable Spider-Man.
Also, Holland seems to be embracing his role as Spider-Man, as he has recently got his Peter Parker haircut. According to Comic Book, Holland had his hair parted in the middle with his long bangs, which mirrors Parker's hairstyle in "Ultimate Spider-Man" comic book and animated series. The actor had also gained muscle and developed a leaner physique.
Prior to his appearance in Jon Watts' solo "Spider-Man" reboot, Holland will debut the character in Marvel's Cinematic Universe the Russos' "Captain America: Civil War," which centers on the release of the Accords. It is released by the government to limit superheroes from using their powers.
Spider-Man's side in "Captain America: Civil War" has not yet been revealed at this point, while previous rumors said that he would team up with Iron Man's team, which reportedly includes Black Widow, War Machine, The Vision, and Black Panther. They are set to clash against Captain America's team, which includes Hawkeye, Falcon, Agent 13, and Ant-Man.
The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere on May 6, 2016 while Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
