A real fashion expert, Tim Gunn of "Project Runway," just fired at the Kardashians' couture sense, including the so-called designs of Kanye West, husband of Kim Kardashian.
While the attention-seeking reality TV family has hordes of fans, Gunn definitely is not one of them. With his Huffington Post interview, Gunn just slammed the door of high-fashion on the Kardashians whom he calls "vulgar" and "distasteful."
Kardashian bashers would agree with Gunn who describes the items on West's fashion line as "a bunch of dumb clothes." In a very bold statement that demotes the entire clan's fashion sense and could spell lower sales for the expensive clothes, Gunn stresses, "When it comes to fashion I say to people all the time, if you want guidance for your fashion just consider this, if a Kardashian is wearing it - don't," quotes Time.
Gunn's statement is an ego-deflator for the former rapper who calls himself Michelangelo, describes people who do not like his shoes as racists and declares sweatshirs as "f-ing important!."
As for Kendall Jenner, when asked if the daughter of Caitlyn and Kris Jenner has the X factor to be a model, Gunn says, "I don't know her, she may be a perfectly lovely young woman, I just feel she's tainted by the Kardashian aura of "yuck."
Kendall has been on the spread of Vogue and modeled for high-end brands such as Estee Lauis the der and Calvin Klein. Gunn says these fashion assignments for the 19-year-old is the product of "a huge, perhaps million dollars a month, publicity wagon that is pulling these girls along and creating their lives for them."
He adds, "I'm distrustful of it and I find it all distasteful," quotes E! News which produces "Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Gunn is aware that the Kardashians and their fans may retaliate at his strong words, but the fashion guru says he is not surprised since he is aware that the Kardashian clan does not like him.
