If reports are anything to go by, MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 will be released before the end of this year. However, according to some experts, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is the best productivity tablet at present.
The tech giant Microsoft has also launched the Surface Book along with the Surface Pro 4. The new laptop packs some serious power to complement its compact and sleek design. The Surface Book is in fact the first ever laptop built by the software company.
It comes with features such as specially-crafted keyboard, muscle wire lock and custom graphics processor. Compared to the Surface Book, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is lighter by half. The Surface Book weighs 3.48 grams, while Microsoft Surface Pro 4 weighs 1.74 grams.
The Surface Book sports a 13.5-inch display, while the Surface Pro 4 sports a 12.3-inch screen. However, both Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 have the same pixel density of 267 ppi.
According to critics, Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is in fact a more straightforward update to Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The screen is bigger which increased from 12 inches to 12.3 inches. Furthermore, the resolution of the display has increased from 2160 x 1440 to 2736 x 1834. The pixel density has also improved from 216 ppi to 267 ppi on the Surface Pro 4, International Business Times reported.
The Surface Pro 4 is a polished and refined version of the Surface concept, with a few of the basic compromises inherent to the form factor. Some critics believe that the Pro 4 is the best iteration of the Surface concept so far.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is available in three processor models - Core-i7, Core-i5 and Core-m3, according to AnandTech. The front-facing camera doubles as a depth camera enabling the company's biometric login feature, Windows Hello. The Surface Pen is very accurate and the highly adjustable kickstand works good.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 was already a good tablet if users were looking for a device to get serious work done, and the Pro 4 continues to improve on the formula with some few tweaks and updated hardware.
