Renowned Chinese filmmaker Wong Kar-wai has expressed interest to work with Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and actor-director Aamir Khan, according to China Entertainment News.
Speaking at the International Film Festival of India held in Goa, the Hong Kong film director said that he thinks "there are load of talent in Bollywood and I am a big fan of Bollywood films."
"Bollywood films are full of fun. If time allows me or if any projects are there, I would like to work with people like Shah Rukh Khan or Aamir Khan. I feel working with them would be nice," Wong told India's news agency Press Trust.
Aamir Khan stars on "PK," said to be one of India's most anticipated films this year, which will be released by Disney India on Dec. 19.
Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, was last seen on "Happy New Year."
Wong also remarked that he is a "great admirer of Satyajit Ray," saying that he has seen many of the actor's films.
The director praised Ritesh Batra-directed "The Lunchbox," which saw a U.S. release by Sony Pictures Classics.
"I heard [Batra] is a first-time director, but I think he is a very promising talent," Wong said.
Wong attended the film festival as a recipient of the prestigious lifetime achievement award, and his latest film "The Grandmaster" was screened during the event's closing.
Chinese films were featured prominently in this year's festival following the signing of a co-production treaty between China and India.
"Both countries have some of the oldest civilizations in this continent. Each country is very active in the film industry. We have many things in common," Wong said.
