The electronics maker Motorola has officially released its Moto G Turbo Edition smartphone. The new handset has far better specs than Moto G (2015).
The third generation Moto G (2015) is not a very powerful handset, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset and sports a 5-inch display with HD resolution for a decent image clarity. The new Moto G Turbo Edition is a significant upgrade compared to the third generation Moto G.
The Moto G Turbo Edition has a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 chipset and a five-inch 1080 x 1920 Full-HD display protected with Gorilla Glass 3. The Snapdragon 615 processor contains an eight-core CPU and the Adreno 405 GPU.
On the other hand, the third-generation Moto G from 2015 has a Snapdragon 410 SoC and a five-inch 720 x 1280 HD display.
The Moto G Turbo Edition has 16 GB of storage expandable via micro-SD card slot and 2 GB of RAM, according to Ubergizmo.
In addition, the new device has a 5-megapixel front facing camera and a 13-megapixel back camera. The connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 4G LTE.
The Moto G Turbo Edition bears an IP67 certification, meaning it is water-proof up to 3 feet of water and for as long as 30 minutes. The device also packs a 2,470mAh battery.
At present, the Moto G Turbo is available in Mexico market for $283. Global availability of the device has not been confirmed yet. However, according to a Tech Times report, the Moto G Turbo Edition will hit other markets at a later date.
