American Idol Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert has announced that he will return to China in 2016 with "The Original High Tour."
The multi-platinum singer-songwriter said that he will perform at the Beijing Exhibition Theater on Jan. 3 and at the Shanghai Mercedes-Benz Arena on Jan. 5.
The statement was announced through AEG Live Asia.
Lambert made his first tour in the country back in 2013 and has since then earned rave reviews from Chinese music fans. His China debut also gained him a huge following across the nation.
He also graced the opening ceremony of "Chinese Idol" on the same year, also lending his musical genius as the show's guest judge during the auditions.
Lambert's 2016 tour is part of the promotion of his new album of the same name. His latest music offering was released this year through Warner Music.
The highly acclaimed album marks his return to his solo roots after joining the rock legends Queen for a world tour. He was recruited by the band to fill in the shoes of its legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury.
The album features contributions from the Queen guitarist Brian May and Tove Lo.
Expressing his delight over performing before his Chinese fans, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter said: "I can't wait to bring my new tour to Beijing and Shanghai!"
"My fans in China are always so supportive and enthusiastic and I'm looking forward to seeing all of them in January!" he added.
The tickets for his concert will go on sale on Friday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m., on Damai with prices ranging from RMB 480/RMB 780 and RMB 980.
Since his American Idol stint in 2009, Lambert has been one of the most successful winners of the franchise.
Lambert topped the U.S. charts with smash albums like "Trespassing (2012)."
