Taiwanese singer Rainie Yang is back with her latest album titled "A Tale of Two Rainie," which will be launched on Dec. 12, China Entertainment News reported.
On Nov. 30, Sunday, Yang performed "Some Water," the lead single of her new album, in Ximending, Taiwan, where she had an autograph session for the pre-order of the album.
During the event, Yang wore a specially designed dress, which has the part at her chest separated into two pieces. Fans were surprised when she revealed she tried to highlight the beauty of the dress by not wearing a bra as part of her chest and shoulders will be exposed when she moves.
Moreover, the 30-year-old singer-actress wore a pair of shorts under the high-slit dress showing off her slender legs. She also revealed she was not wearing any safety pants. The fans cheered loudly after Yang's revelations.
Written by Taiwanese singer-songwriter Lala Hsu, the lyrics of "Some Water" talk about the pain of unrequited love. The ballad already premiered on radio stations early in November and has become the most played song in Taiwan, a record also achieved by Hong Kong singer Faye Wong in China.
Yang said that she did not expect the success of "Some Water" along with the success of the album having sold more than 36,800 orders in its second week of pre-order.
For the photoshoot of "A Tale of Two Rainie," Yang even flew to New York, 24-7 Kpop has learned.
Contrary to the modern and trendy image she is known for, Yang claims to be traditional and very conservative. This contradiction inspired the title of her new album.
"A Tale of Two Rainie" is the first album by Yang to be released by EMI Taiwan. Sony Music Taiwan released all of her first eight albums: "My Intuition," "Meeting Love," "My Other Self," "Not Yet a Woman," "Rainie & Love...?," "Longing For," "Wishing for Happiness" and "Angel Wings."
